Starting with the early afternoon of Friday, the 17th of November, you can check into a cosy youth hostel in the oustskirts of historical lower-saxon framework community of Celle and become a first opportunity to get to know players in a tournament where the affiliations will be randomly affixed in advance. After a break (with a chance to grab some bite) comes the first real challenge - surpass your opponents in a multiplayer in creativity and thoroughness with a team partner of your chocie. While the night is still young, afterwards you will get another chance to demonstrate your abilities in an experienced draft session in preparation for the days to come.
For ambitious players the second day begins right after the breakfast with your enrollment to the Grand Prix - the traditional core element of the three-day event. With a short intermission in the early afternoon here participants compete for special honours in three different degrees of player faculties - but throughout the whole present range of varyingly experienced opponents. Soon the evening will arrive and after a refreshing dinner the best of the day will meet in final confrontations, while the remaining players can relax in a round of Casino Royale - and show their lucky hands in the employment of poker jetons. Friends of more classic STCCG formats will also find alternatives and in the later hours everyone again gathers for the amusing Late Night Draft ...
The third day will be moulded by the experiences of the previous days, when players meet for the Senior Officer Challenge and experience a literal journey through time. Increasing demands and advancing possibilties will determine this ambitious format, where inspiration and creativity again will decide between defeat and victory. Exhausted but also delighted then the STCCG community will be welcome at the concluding Awards Ceremony, where past experiences will be relived in an atmosphere of festivity.

Late Night Draft |
Booster Draft is a sealed deck format which follows the draft rules: each player is handed one of the three Dangerous Missions fixpacks (on loan) and 4 boosters from various sets, which are used to draft (drafted cards from the boosters will be retained by the players). In groups of 3-5 players each player opens the first booster and chooses one card. After choosing the first card, the remaining cards out of the booster are given away clockwise. Again a card will be chosen and the booster-remains will be given away clockwise. This is repeated until the last card is chosen. This procedure will be repeated with the other boosters, but the second and fourth booster will be given away counter-clockwise. This format is very amusing at the end of a day. This tournament will be used for decipher-ranking sealed deck rating. |
